Happy birthday Josh & David.
We slept late and then I mowed the lawns – because I could. Another exceptionally hot day with temps in the 30’s. We drove past Ikea – but closed on Sundays as are supermarkets, the city centre, malls etc. etc. so went to Bunnings where Ross and Mark stocked up on gardening things. We dropped these at home and headed for the Swan Valley to have some lunch. The Swan Valley is a small but good wine making area about 30 minutes east of the city centre. We had lunch at Edgecombe Brothers – food ok but service disappointing. On our way back we stopped in Guildford and browsed through the antique and collectable stores – my depression ware (glass in 1920’s & 1930’s and often given away in crackerjack boxes – I collect green depression ware) is appreciating!
Then home – R&M did some gardening but we are all feeling a bit hot and a bit tired!
