We had a quiet day today. Scrappy weatherwise – windy and rainy. Rain is good – Zinkwazi had got very salty so a washdown was good.
We tendered into Fitzroy this morning – bought bread and milk. And a huge cauliflower.
Rob got picked up – by three damsels in distress. They were attempting to row – against wind and tide – so we gave them a tow out to Dreamtime – owned by a mate of Robs. Damsels were Lindsay’s family and we did another trip to pick up rest of Lindsay’s family. We managed to get very wet in process and Lindsay was in process of re-anchoring so we did not visit. Hopefully will catch up later in week. Lindsay must be in his late 70’s or early 80’s but is still sailing – probably mostly single handed – way to go!
Got back to Zinkwazi and had french toast for brunch. Not something I often think about making but enjoy it when I do.
I read late last night (The Race by Richard North Patterson – I wonder if American politics are as flakey as he makes them sound?) so settled in for a nap – that took care of the afternoon!
For tea we had glazed pickled pork, roasted cauliflower (and still have heaps left, it was a HUGE cauli.) and baked scaloppini and potatoes. Yum.
If you enjoy my blog – leave a comment. Or if you can answer my tide question or have any “Learn Dolphin” tapes you’d like to let me have definitely leave a comment.
